First Street was bustling with hundreds of holiday shoppers as they waited to hear the winners of the four $1,000 prizes. Langley Main Street sponsored the Deck the Door contest and awarded three winners, announced president, Janet Ploof.

Winners were Prima Bistro’s front door artist Tobey Nelson, who created a colorful display with forks, knives, corks and wine bottles. Museo’s artists Larry Woolworth created a display with colored yarns and snowflakes dangling on the store front and entry. The Third winner was the Langley Whale Center, the most lighted building in Langley and a “must-see” in the dark of night. There were many volunteers who helped decorate—from Dave Anderson, who created the jumping Orca in lights, to the center manager, Wendy Sines, with help from the Drye Family and the Langley Whale Center Youth Group.

The Langley Chamber Holiday shopping spree winner was Colleen Skinner of Freeland. The winning ticket was drawn by Pam Bickel, Manager of the Langley branch of Heritage Bank, which donated the $1,000 for the winner.
